La Petite Maison's Bikini – A Recipe

WHere is a home-style take on a drink found on our latest cocktail list. This is a batch premix which is loaded with tastes of a holiday season, which makes it excellent for a festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix additional servings of the drink.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 servings

To make the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

For the Cordial: Put all the items inside a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring to dissolve. Then, take off the heat and leave to reach room temperature fully. Decant to a clean bottle, cap it keeping it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to a month.

To make Cocktail Base: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using muslin, so it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Add 85ml of the premix into your cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate lightly for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Pour into an cold coupe glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the top.
